In order to find out as much as my
target audience as possible so that I will be able to cater my products to their
specific needs successfully. I hope to find out what genres of film appeal to
them the most and also what sub-genre of horror that appeals them the most so
that I will have a good idea of what type of sub-genre my own narrative should
come under. I will also need to know what age bracket they come under and what
position they have in relation to their occupation so that I will be able to
design a narrative that can entertain their level of intelligence and experience
in life. In order to gain all this knowledge I will have to carry out some
research in the form of surveys and a focus group. A survey will secure the
knowledge of what my target audience prefers, their occupation and age. While a
focus group will focus on existing medias and they preferences regarding
conventions within horror film trailers, posters and
magazines.
